WHAT DOES CHRISTMAS MEAN TO ME?

It's the most wonderful time of the year. Christmas is so special to me. I don't know what it is about Christmas that fills me with this bubbly feeling inside. Maybe it's the lights or the music or the scent of cinnamon and pine needles everywhere you turn from Main Street to your living room. There's just this whole overwhelming feeling that for this one month the whole world is united by this great anticipation and LOVE.

It's always been this way. My whole life it's been this way. I never remember the Christmases of my childhood to be about presents. The euphoria of gifts always wore off after they were all open and played with (not that I didn't like them) but what I remember most was the time that was spent with my family. Now don't start to picture this perfect family Christmas scene, believe me, no Christmas let alone dinner with my family was ever perfect, but it was still special and filled with the intentions of LOVE.

I guess that what I'm really trying to say here on my claim to my little place on the internet is that to me Christmas is about LOVE. Plain and simple. Of course, to me, I find that LOVE in the birth of Jesus but to everyone, to me, the rest of the world and I hope and pray that to you, Christmas and this entire magical holiday season is built on LOVE.
