What to do when it's raining
Just because it's raining out side does not mean we can't all have fun. Here are some cute and fun ideas for those doona days in.
Bake Beautiful Cup Cakes
Cup cakes aren't only absolutely adorable and delicious but are very calming to make and makes for a great distraction when it's bucketing down. Also you get to decorate and eat them which is just as comforting and makes all the work totally worth it. These ones are white chocolate cupcakes with butter creme icing.
Play board games
The only time I ever really do play board games is either on mission trips or when it's raining and it rains a whole lot in the southern highlands where I live. The only catch to this activity is that you can't exactly play by yourself. So grab your friends and family and have a solid game of Cluedo or Snakes and Ladders to pass the time and before you know it the sun could be out again with a smile on it's face. On this particular day I was winning for most of the game of snakes and ladders till out of no where my friend Felicity catches a ladder straight to 100... Needles to say I was not happy. And if you don't have anyone to play with there are 10,000,000 good books to read instead.
Make a cozy space
Grab a few blankets, doonas and pillows and creat an area that's not only comfortable, cute and warm but really relaxing. Light some candles, dim the lighting or light the fire place if you have one (not to close to the linen of corse) and just snuggle up in the ultimate retreat. If you are super game you could easily turn this space into a fort for extra fun.
Whip out a good movie! or three...
Watching a movie when it's raining is just a given thing to do. So naturally that's what my friend Felicity and I did. We watched The little Mermaid to be exact because 'hey why not!'. After all it's a Disney princess movie and you're never to old to watch Disney Princesses!
Some other movies I particularly like to watch on a rainy day are:

6. The Amazing Spider Man
Eat warm comfort food
If you are going to eat any food at all you may as well make it comforting to warm your heart. cheese and ham toasties are quick, easy and affordable.
Have an indoor tea party
Cup Cakes included.
There is nothing more fun then a tea party and you can't exactly have one in the rain. So why don't you stay in with some of your squad and drink as much tea as you'd like whilst being wrapped up in cozy blankets with out getting dressed up in summer dresses. You still get to eat all the food with your girls whilst being super comfy! Thats a win for me.
Binge watch T.V shows.

Spend it with good company
Everything you do when it's raining is made 10000 times better when you are surrounded by the people that you love. So give them a shout and get to gether to pass the time with giggles and fun.
